Course Reserve Information

Course reserves are high-use materials assigned to entire classes.  We have two types of reserves, Physical Reserves located at the Circulation/Reserve Desk and Electronic Reserves which are available 24/7 through the library catalog.

Both types of reserve request require the same form.  To complete the form, it must have the faculty name, UNK email, phone number, name of class, number of class, and date for removal from reserve.

Physical Reserves can include entire C.T. Ryan library books, personal copies of books, articles, CDs, DVDs and videos. Reserve items may have varying checkouts periods ranging from 1 hour to 7 days.  There is no grace period for reserve checkouts.  Hourly fines are $0.25 / hour and daily fines are one dollar per day. Laptop fines are $1.00 per hour overdue.

Electronic Reserves are limited to articles or less than 10% of a book.  UNK faculty are notified by email once their material has been scanned and placed on electronic reserve and what the password is to access the material.  Electronic Reserves can be found here.  We guarantee materials to be placed on reserve within 36 hours of the request.
