NIH Policy for Data Management and Sharing (DMS Policy) to promote the management and sharing of scientific data generated from NIH-funded or conducted research
The NIH's Public Access Policy "requires scientists to submit final peer-reviewed journal manuscripts that arise from NIH funds to PubMed Central immediately upon acceptance for publication." This policy also applies to data used within publications.
UNMC guide - walks researchers through the data lifecycle and estimates how many hours each activity in the data lifecycle may take. Use this worksheet as a guide for budgeting data management and sharing expenses in grant applications. Note that UNK does NOT have a data manager who can be hired; UNK researchers are responsible for finding and contracting data management assistance that falls outside the scope of the data management librarians.
