Using Scopus to Support Your Research: Introduction to Scopus

Scopus is a citation and publication index owned by Elsevier.

The entire University system currently has access to Scopus through a subscription by the University of Nebraska Consortium of Libraries (UNCL). 

Scopus is one tool in the Scholarly Communications landscape. It consists primarily of research journals, but also includes conference proceedings, books and book series, white papers, and patents.

Elsevier has an editorial board that evaluates what materials to include in Scopus. Researchers can submit journals and other resources to the editorial board for consideration for inclusion.

Scopus provides publication, citation, and author information, and this data can be pushed to complementary resources such as Orcid.
