2. Use advanced tools and features in databases.

3. Understand research conventions within a discipline.

*Sessions will focus on 2 or 3 of the outcomes at a time.

Learning Outcomes:

1. Explain how information is produced and shared within an academic field.

2. Differentiate between types of scholarly works, such as original research and review articles.

3. Use advanced search techniques to find information in databases and on the open web.

4. Locate and utilize subject-specific resources and databases.

5. Apply the appropriate formatting and citation standards used in their discipline.
