The following databases are not the only databases useful for projects in this area. Rather, they're good starting points which are useful for the widest variety of topics. Produced by the Modern Language Association (MLA), the electronic version of the bibliography dates back to the 1920s. The database contains millions of citations as well as full text for over 1,000 journals.
